Measles Precautions at The Pediatric Center
Our Current Precautions
The Pediatric Center is taking additional precautions to help protect our patients, families, and staff with the increasing risk of measles in our community.
Screening: For walk-in visits involving fever or rash, we ask that you please call the office upon arrival before entering the building. Patients who call for an appointment will be screened for fever in the past five days, rash, and other risk factors associated with measles, including immunization status.
Limiting Exposure: Your child's visit may begin with a phone call from our charge nurse or provider. Depending on the situation, care may continue in your vehicle or inside the office using appropriate precautions.
Vaccination policy: Our vaccination policy is in place with the goal of protecting all of our patients, family, and staff, especially those who are most vulnerable.
We appreciate your cooperation and partnership in helping us keep our patients, families, and staff stay safe.
