Welcome to The Pediatric Center!
Dear Glen Allen Pediatric Patients,
It is with enthusiasm that we send this letter welcoming you and your children to our practice. Dr. David Arkin and his team have diligently served the community for decades, and we are honored to be entrusted with the care of your child and family as part of his retirement plan.
As you transition to our practice, our primary goal is to ensure seamless care. Throughout the month of April, we are collaborating closely with Glen Allen Pediatrics to facilitate the transfer of records; no action is required on your part during this transfer process. Following Glen Allen Pediatrics’ last day of practice on April 19th, we will commence this transfer process. During this time, you are welcome to book appointments and receive care, bearing in mind that all records may not be fully transferred until the end of the month.
As mentioned by Dr. David Arkin in his letter, we are pleased to welcome Dr. Laura Goradia and Dr. Theresa Bartholomew to our team. Both are eager to continue providing care for your child. Continuity of providers allows us to foster a deeper understanding of your child and family dynamics, ultimately facilitating the highest quality medical care. The Pediatric Center has multiple locations to serve you. Our John Rolfe in Henrico and Virginia Center Commons locations are conveniently situated in or near Glen Allen, and our Laburnum Avenue location serves our patients in the East End. In addition to regular clinic hours, we hold limited evening hours from 5pm-7pm as needed seasonally, and we are open every Saturday at our Virginia Center Commons location for walk-in appointments from 8:30am to 11:30am.
At the Pediatric Center, we offer integrated behavioral health services. We recognize the many ways that mental and physical health are intertwined and care about your child as a whole. We offer mental health screening, consultation appointments, and tailored resources based on your child’s specific emotional, behavioral, and developmental needs. Uniquely, we have two licensed clinical psychologists and a behavioral health resource coordinator on staff to support this level of care. Our newsletter is designed to be more than just a routine update.
