Dr. Powers grew up in Binghamton, New York. He attended SUNY Geneseo near Rochester, NY before attending medical school at SUNY Upstate in Syracuse, NY. He then went on to complete his Pediatrics residency at Penn State in Hershey, PA, the Sweetest Place on Earth! Dr. Powers joined The Pediatric Center in 2025. He is particularly interested in adolescent care, weight management, and asthma, and loves the long-term bonds that develop with families over time. Dr. Powers moved to Richmond with his girlfriend, who is also a pediatrician, as well as his cat Loki. In his spare time, he enjoys playing soccer, board games, and trivia, as well as socializing with friends and family.
