Dr. Liv Gorla (formerly known as Liv Gorla Schneider, M.D.) was born and raised in California, where she attended Stanford University. She moved to Richmond in 1998 to attend medical school at VCU, where she completed her residency and served as Chief Resident. Dr. Gorla is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. After practicing for three years in Georgia at a community health center, she joined the Pediatric Center in 2009. In 2023, she began serving as Chair of the Board of Managers for the Virginia Children’s Care Network, a new initiative between CHoR and community pediatricians. Dr. Gorla enjoys working with first time parents, supporting children through school challenges, advocating for vaccination across all generations, and understanding the effect of media on children and families. Her family includes her 3 adolescent children with varied interests, including music, sports, and technology. She is an active member of her church and chaperones a service camp for teens every summer.
