Rebecca was born in Ft. Worth, Texas and raised in Mechanicsville, Va. She received her bachelor’s degree in Biology and Psychology from Virginia Tech and her nursing degree from Helene Fuld School of Nursing in Blackwood, NJ. After nursing school, she worked at St. Mary’s Hospital on the pediatric floor, intensive care unit and emergency department before becoming a travel nurse in the UK and Australia. On her return to the U.S., she worked at VCU Health in the pediatric ER and most recently at the Virginia Poison Center. In 2017, she received her MSN and FNP from Walden University in Minneapolis, MN. Her clinical interests include diabetes, obesity, asthma/allergies and toxicology. She is married with two school aged children and loves yoga, traveling and spending time with family and friends.
