A native of Richmond, Dr. Sharpe joined our practice in 1990. He attended college at Wake Forest University where he graduated Phi Beta Kappa and earned a Bachelor of Arts in English. Dr. Sharpe earned his medical degree from the MCV/VCU and completed his residency, as well as a two year fellowship in Adolescent Medicine from Vanderbilt University. Dr. Sharpe has served as the chairman of the Department of Pediatrics and as a member of the Medical Executive Committee at Henrico Doctors Hospital. Dr. Sharpe is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. His medical interests include adolescent medicine and Attention Deficit Disorder. He is married and has three sons. In his free time, he enjoys hunting, fishing, gardening, and cooking.
